Opus Academy of Music Sdn Bhd is a leading Early Childhood Music School in Malaysia and has established for more than 10 years since year 2000 by Ms Anne Lee. OPUS was awarded the "Excellent Children Music School" by APECP 2010.

"Musical World™" is a homegrown program designed for newborn to 12 years old and has benefited more than 3,000 students over the years. "Musical World™" program is a holistic program and proven to be effective with our unique approach. OPUS believes in Developing Intelligence through Music. Our aim is to produce student with live long learning towards music education.

Musical Babies™: Newborn - 18mths

"Musical Babies" is a specially tailored class that fulfills your baby's dynamic needs and potential. Here, their impressive range of perceptual skills and sensory skills are rewarded with objects and instrumental exploration, sounds / vocal exploration, singing, listening and creative movements. The class encourages bonding between parents and babies, hence cultivating a environment for quality time.

Musical Toddlers™: 18 mths - 3 yrs old

"Musical Toddlers" will compass every step by focusing on your child's healthy emotional development, as confidence, self-control and communication begins to take shape. Instrument exploration will help promote self-esteem. Singing, rhyming, and object identification to foster language skills and creative dancing to develop balance and timing and spatial awareness.

Creative Kids™: 3 yrs old - 5 yrs old

Program includes activities that built a child's growing independence and developing competencies. There will be instrument play to cultivate fine motor skills. With basic concepts like rhythm, pitch and timbre to further enhance creative movements thus strengthening coordination. They will experience vocal exploration accompanied with listening activities to foster memorization and discrimination skills.

Music Adventure™: 5yrs old - 7yrs old

"Music Adventure" will aim to further develop their voice. Children will develop confidence in the ability to use musical language before they are taught written symbols at this stage. At this age a whole new musical world will be introduced like learning the symbols and vocabulary of music making, rhythmic skills, application of rhythmic pattern, identification of musical forms and instrument play.

Music Discovery™ : 7 yrs old - 9 yrs old

Here, your child will be introduced to specific fun-filled activities such as building beat competency, rhythmic & tonal vocabulary as well as musical concepts & terminology. Your child will be indulging in speech, vocal sounds and vocables as musical sounds and also a stimuli for movement. Learn to play the descant recorder with correct posture, breathing, intonation and fingering.

Music Mind™: 9 yrs old - 11 yrs old

To further develop improvisation skills. It creates great potential for developing musical aptitude, self-expression and self confidence and also the ability to respond creatively and musically in a spontaneous manner.

Music Maestro™: 11yrs old - 12 yrs old

To achieve more advanced music making skills, the class offers students the experience of playing music in various styles and hence acquires composing, performing and overall musicianship skills.

Opus Young Readers™

Opus Young Readers™ is a program for development of early literacy skills. When children are exposed to the appropriate reading materials, they develop early literacy skills such as basic book- handling abilities, interpreting pictures, following the plot of the story and associating meaning with the printed word. Children who are read to from early age are more successful at learning.

Art Explorer : 5 - 12 yrs old

Many studies conducted have shown that art have multiple functions. It creates awareness for basic human instinct for harmony, balance, rhythm, to experience the mysterious, for the expression of our imagination and for universal communication. Art provides means to express the imagination in non-verbal ways that are not tied to the formality of spoken or written language.
