APIIT Smart School
Nurturing Success

The concept of smart school is not new. In developed countries, smart schools have shifted the paradigm of focus on student needs and capabilities and individual student development.

APIIT Smart School Sdn Bhd, a part of the APIIT Education Group commenced operations in January 2006. Their objective is to provide an educational structure that allows for the mental, academic and physical growth of each child in a nurturing and personalized environment.

Many people are under the misconception that a smart school means that the learning environment is technology intensive with the requirement that student will become computer literate.

Peter & Jane's 27th annual concert

Peter & Jane's kindergarten had recently organised its 27th annual concert programme. The concert was held at Dewan Sivik, MBPJ auditorium. The concert is a meaningful and joyful event held every year as parents get to see their talented children performing on stage.

The concert started at 4pm and ended at 6.30pm. The auditorium was crowded with family members despite the heavy rain. It was indeed a hectic day for teachers and staff members where there were busy ushering the family members to their seats and preparing for the concert at back stage. The auditorium was nicely decorated with balloons and the crowd was having their hands busy with the cameras. All the parents were anxious to see the children performance as they patiently waiting in the auditorium for the first performance to take place.

The emcees of the day came from various nationalities - Malaysia, Japan, Pakistan, Korea, Liberia and Uzbekistan - which added on a multi-cultural ambience.

The concert started with Peter & Jane's children singing the school song which then followed with the first performance 'Mary and Her 3 Little Lambs'. The casts were of six children wearing their stunning and cute outfit to play their role as Mary, Snowy, Cotton, Big Bad Wolf, Fluffy and Old MacDonald.

After the entertaining performance of 'Mary and Her 3 Little Lambs', the children continue to amuse the audience with a dance and a choir. There were also poetic sessions, story telling performances. The audience was thrilled with the talented young children performing their moves and acts on stage with the story telling act of The Malaysian Heritage and Egypt - Travelling Through Time. The concert finale was a performance of Pocahontas which ended with a Native American dance.

The annual concert was indeed memorable and meaningful, it gives the opportunity for the children to acquire confidence by performing on stage to show their talents in front of a big crowd.

Peter & Jane's is an established Kindergarten since year 1982 that provides young children with a conducive learning environment and their well known Montessori education.
