APIIT Smart School

Background of the school
APIIT Smart School is a Malaysian private school that conducts the Malaysian National School Curriculum and is enhanced by a wide range of co-curricular activities. A part of the APIIT Education Group commenced operation in January 2006. Using the Smart School concept, its objective is to provide an educational structure that allows for the mental, academic and physical growth of each child in a nurturing and student-centric environment.

Uniqueness/Outstanding Feature of school

The school is purpose-built, and is beautifully landscaped and spacious. It has 88 classrooms and a host of special rooms and laboratory facilities. The facilities include the Smart Card to monitor student attendance and purchases (e-purse); the use of broadband facilities; small classes with a maximum of 28 students per class, a ½ Olympic sized swimming pool, music studios and a range of sporting facilities.

The psychological environment which encourages thinking provides students with opportunities to experiment and learn. In a knowledge driven society, students at APIIT are armed with the tools to seek, manage, share and think creatively.

Academically, there is a focus on the mastery of three languages, viz. Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. Students also participate in co-curricular activities like music, martial art, swimming, speech & drama and information communication technology. Fairly rigorous assessments of the students, not only through the traditional methods of examination, are conducted regularly.
